Comment from Pastor David Rapp:

Today in the Women’s Study we touched briefly on topics such as the Canon of Scripture and the Apocrypha.

There are some wonderful, brief, scholarly-yet-accessible articles on these and related topics in the ESV Study Bible. (The Canon of Scripture section begins on p 2577). There are good books that deal with these topics, but most people prefer a short article. It’s nice to have such a rich collection in one place.

Comment from Heath Robinson:

I answered Jolene offline, but to summarize.  I’ll post reflections and discussion questions.  Then we all interact with the book.

The book is around 900 pages divided into 30 chapters.  We will be reading < 35 pages per week.  Sometimes much less.  This stretches us into October.  Slow and steady wins the race, right?
